Holland is well known for its passion for football, but besides football, the Dutch enjoy a lot of other sports such as hockey, skating and cycling. In 1928, Amsterdam hosted the Games of the 9th Olympiad. The Olympic Stadium, built for the occasion, has been completely restored and is now used for cultural and sporting events.
