It is important for you to check at your home institution if you can receive financial support like a scholarship. The Hogeschool van Amsterdam will not be able to provide you with extra funding. Beneath you will find an estimate of the costs of living in Amsterdam:

Museum ticket 5 € Beer 2 € Movie 8 € Public Transport 2 € per ride within the city centre. Train 10 € for a return ticket to Utrecht, 30 minutes

Issue Credit card VS Pin card

Most of shop only accept PIN card, it is a Dutch chipcard without secret number. We have to get used to have some cash with you all the time. 

Nevertheless, most of souvenir shop accept credit card if you also your ID.

The Magna Plaza is one of the ten most precious monuments in Amsterdam. The monumental magic of this former Head Post Office gives the Magna Plaza Shopping Center great international allure. It was designed by the famous Dutch architect Cornelis Hendrik Peters in Neo-Gothic style a century ago. From the 1990s the Magna Plaza stores are opened seven days a week.
